Sky Lake

Sky Lake

The garden of Eden

Was the first…

My garden, at times, may be the worst,

Yet every garden, within its sod,

Contains a blessing conveyed by God.

A hint of the world as a new creation,

Teeming with creatures and vegetation;

A sanctuary for humans few,

Abundant in beauty with little to do,

But to reap the harvest fresh each day,

To breathe clean air, to romp and play.

Sky Lake is a garden of Nature’s best,

A place of Peace, retreat and rest.

A place for camping or taking a walk,

Where two like souls can sit and talk.

Its visitors are gardeners, too,

Constantly finding good things to do.

Our hard work is a bumper crop,

Yet often we forget to stop…

To smell the flowers along the way,

To meditate at end of day,

To listen for deer and the songs of birds,

To focus on feelings instead of words.

So, take some time, in this sacred space,

To soak in Nature, face-to-face;

To watch the sun slide out of sight,

Wrapping the world in a cloak of night.

Angels live here, Brothers and Sisters:

If you listen close….

You might hear one whisper.
