Andrew....a Legend

Andrew

The Silo Restaurant is a legend in its own right…most recently proven during the pandemic when it opened as soon as possible, first for take-out, briefly for outdoor dining, then for eating inside as soon as it was feasible to do so. But, always with an eye to the happiness, safety and well-being of patrons and staff.

A large part part of what makes the Silo so special has to do with the long term and loyal folks who work there…and no one is more wonderful than the Wonder Known as Andrew….

Here comes Andrew,

A man stepped from the tide of time, chivalric and Victorian…

His manners are the stuff of rhyme…

His theme song p’raps Gregorian.

His trademark Wescoat snappy black, he looks the part of Jeeves.

With noble height and ramrod back, his crisply gathered sleeves.

Yet more than wrappings make the man, there’s character within…

An intellect that’s full of charm, a humour dry as gin.

His whole demeanor seeks to serve, presiding at each table..

Dispensing with gentility such joy as he is able.

He knows his faithful clientele, their names and chosen drinks…

While they cast off their daily cares,

He listens….and he thinks.

Precipitating every need with unobtrusive grace,

Andrew sweeps the dross away: perfection takes its place.

Then when the revelers drift along, and all is neatly stowed,

He finds his weary way toward home along the winding road.

And, there goes Andrew,

A man stepped out of history’s page, of noble disposition…

Transforming what could be a job,

Into a sacred mission.

Things That Go Zoom in the Night!

80th Birthday!!
