So on 3/25 I veered off to write the following, which has little or nothing to do with the preceding (I was writing something else at the time). I’m old…..I can do that. You will probably find yourself singing this…..apologies to Leonard Cohen.

Here I am in Paradise, the sky is blue the weather nice…

Much more than in New York, O let me clue ya!

But keyboards are in short supply,

So that must be the reason why

I sing an acapella Hallelujah…

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

We left our lovely woodsy home, to travel south, to roll and roam…

Where Spring is hiding and can catch up to ya!

The trees are green, the flowers bloom.

But in a less familiar room.

And so I sing a plaintive Hallelujah…

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

The dogs are so much smaller here, no plumes for tails, no silken ears…

Don’t knock you flat whene’er they run up to ya!

Longing for other furry faces,

Colder climes, and different places,

Outward pours a lonesome Hallelujah…

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

Despite the things I really miss, it truly is a land of bliss…

And blessings more than one should say is due ya!

For love and care are such a boon,

A lovely isle to be marooned,

Inspiring a grateful Hallelujah…

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
