Tax Time

We
Pray
For
Protective
Prophylaxis
From that vast horror
Known as “Taxes.”
These government fees
Are on the docket,
With myriad methods to
Pick our pockets.
We pray that our tax man
Their power strips
With a bouquet of
Taxpayer
Tax saving tips.
Please let us be thankful
All the same,
Inspite of the IRS’
Rip-off game,
That after the forms
And the checks are shipped
We are not quite hungry
Nor naked stripped!
And, there’s often enough
Of our “gold”
Leftover
To stretch out in our hands
And
To help each other.
