Mother’s Day Rotary Prayer
May 9, 2018
Mother’s Day is Sunday:
You either are one, or you had one.
Each of us gets only one…
Though good one or a bad one.
The Mothers of this crazy world
Work hard, to do what’s right,
To feed and clothe their children
And to tuck them in at night.
They school them all as best they can
To know what’s right from wrong.
Both physically and morally,
Moms want us to be strong.
So,
If you’re a Rotarian,
Mom’s gift is happiness,
Our membership is living proof
That she is a success!
When one becomes a Mother,
Her needs go on the shelf,
For she takes up our motto
Of service above self!
God bless
The Mothers of this world,
Their tasks they do not shirk:
Yet in the end, they must let go
Of all their handiwork.
So it is with service…
Ever was, is, and will be…
We can’t send Love into the world,
Unless we set it free.
Amen.
