The
Turkeys
Of this world don’t know
That their demise is planned:
Their time of
“Service above self”
Is drawing near at hand!
How fortunate we humans,
On whom good luck is showered
We get to eat like kings and queens,
Yet rarely be devoured.
So, Lord,
Please give us
Thankful hearts…
That, so far, we all thrive…
And reach a helping hand to those
Who struggle to survive.
Let’s try to ease the hunger,
To mitigate the cold…
Let’s try to make life better
For the needy….young or old.
Rotarians…
In this hall are we,
Each one of us a winner:
Once more, we’re glad
That we can have,
And yet not
BE
A dinner.
