December in Colesville

This was the Rotary Prayer

For

January 6, 2010

We live in

A snow-castle

World of white...

Enchanting,

And ermine draped;

A photographer’s dream

Is our rural scene,

A breathtaking

Winter ‘scape.

May all of us always have eyes to see

The beauty around us here,

In all of the seasons,

And even now,

At this ice-laden time of year.

Though some flee the north

For sunnier climes,

In the balmy south

To roam,

The rest are more tough,

Made of sturdier stuff,

And prefer to stay

Right here

At

Home!

So, Lord,

Bless our friends,

Who are wimpish and weak:

They crave warmth,

And we pray they

Secure it.

And while You are at it,

Bless those

Who stayed here,

And give us the strength

To endure it!.

Amen.
